event
on Saturday 8th March. The event starts at 11:00.
Free and open to all, Wind & Easel is a tree-drawing social based in Bristol. On the 8th of March we're running our first tree drawing walk outside of Bristol, starting in Compton Dando in the Chew Valley.
There will be around 2 hours of walking, but additional time (at least an hour or so) for stopping and sketching of course. The event will end in the early afternoon, bring any sustenance you may need, including water.
You don't have to be a tree-expert but please bring-your-own materials to this semi-guided adventure, and dress appropriately for outdoors weather and walking.
When: 11.00 until early afternoon - timing dependent on the group size. There is a pub in the village that some people may want to
Where: Compton Dando - exact location provided on booking
What to bring:
Outdoor and weather appropriate clothing and footwear
Your own drinks/lunch as needed
Your preferred art materials and a sketchbook
How to get there:
There is on-street parking throughout Compton Dando, join the whatsapp chat community in order to organise lift sharing!
Things to know:
This is a non-strenuous route but is outdoors and may feature styles / stairs and gates. When you join us, you're taking responsibility for your own adventure - just as you would on any countryside walk.
We'll look out for each other, but do take care as you go. Unfortunately it is not accessible for wheelchair users, however we run sessions in Bristol so please come along to those!
We will go at a relaxed pace but there won't be many benches so you may wish to bring something to sit on like a plastic mat.
If you have any questions please join the whatsapp chat community - that's what it's for!
