With thanks to the The Churches Conservation Trust, for whom we will be raising funds on the night.

A-Sun Amissia (Bristol debut) - A-Sun Amissa is a music collective founded and led by Richard Knox (The Eternal Return Arkestra, The Rustle of the Stars, Shield Patterns, Glissando) that has featured an array of members and collaborators since it’s formation in 2011. Their sound touches on elements of post-rock, doom, dark-jazz and heavy drone. Recorded output has been released on Richard's own Gizeh label as well as Belgium's Consouling Sounds.

Live, the set-up can range from a solo performance to a full band show. Dense and heavy atmospheres provide the backdrop to the sound. Layers of mournful, melancholic and ethereal melodies weave amongst the thundering beats, deep drones and intense, heaving guitars.

The band has toured Europe several times and performed with the likes of Amenra, Nadja, Helen Money, Jozef Van Wissem, Jucifer and Telepathy.

Abattoir/Satori (UK/Italy) - "A collaborative work between Italy’s Lorenzo Abattoir and legendary UK project Satori (Dave Kirby ) . Recent albums Aether, and Megaloschemos are densely constructed and multi-layered assemblages of chordal swells, whirring machinery cogs, aberrant rituals, and sprawling, tar-black atmospheres. Even as parts reach cataclysmic levels of intensity and magnitude, this is the sound of chaos merging with order, where every detail and nuance seems to be carefully regulated and controlled. Music that is based on the physical and mental disconnect facing everyone in the modern world. A constant pervasive undercurrent of violence, the feeling of a society on the brink of a total meltdown and the fears and torments of the powerless individual.

Formed in 1982 and immersed in the industrial and power electronics culture, Satori has released music on the legendary Broken Flag, Tesco, and Cold Spring, with "Aether" representing a new statement of intent of original member Dave Kirby.

Lorenzo Abattoir is an Italian-based noise artist and sound engineer whose work takes shape in a context of underground extreme music to become accessible through various projects related to contemporary art, including Psicopompo with German composer Hermann Kopp (4IB Records), the electro-acoustic collective Mare Di Dirac (Dusktone Records), and a collaboration with Phurpa.

This duo create absorbing music sure to appeal to fans of all sub-genres of true industrial music." - The Cube, Bristol

Dead Space Chamber Music (Bristol) - are a dark ambient / ritual / gothic / ethereal / neoclassical trio of cello, guitar and voice, based in Bristol, UK. Existing where early music meets early industrial, they combine the focused intensity and intimacy of chamber music with an experimental / ritual aesthetic, to create a distinctively emotive, transportive and atmospheric live experience.

Actively integrating the acoustic ‘voice’ and physicality of the spaces they perform in, one piece leads into another, forming a multi-layered ceremonial arc. Structured improvisations are combined with reinterpreted songs reaching back to the 12th century. The resulting pieces move between shimmering veils of finely textured sound, to heavily saturated effect-laden drones, incorporating finely crafted electronic treatments and field-recording based sound-scapes.

With an increasing array of sound-making objects, each show is reworked in varying combinations, to create something unique each time, giving audiences an experience which is intriguing, intense and immersive.

n of Broad Street and Quay Street. Entrance to upper church is on the Broad Street side.

There is metered car parking on Broad Street and multiple city centre car parks nearby. https://en.parkopedia.co.uk/ The Grand Hotel is located nearby and the Guildhall is the closest landmark.

Due to this being an historic medieval building, there is no step free access. Steps to the church are worn and steep. There is no handrail and there are no toilets on site, but we will provide information of facilities very close by. Please feel welcome to message us in advance or speak to us during the event, for any assistance we can offer.
