Join FARE and Ochre for a cosy evening of melancholic ambient indie-folk at The Cloak & Dagger.
Using delicate and honest story-telling, FARE brings out a certain vulnerability when performing live. Said to have an "open and effortless" style, FARE accompanies emotive, ethereal vocals with ambient guitar loops - immersed in thoughtful and dreamy nostalgia. Since releasing her first EP back in 2016, FARE has continued to produce new music during her time spent in Cornwall and Bristol - supporting Ben Howard in 2018, and performing at Glastonbury and The Great Escape. FARE's currently planning a new release for 2023, around the upcoming South West shows this summer - while also working on new music with side projects "Tapes" and "Prom Committee".

Ochre is the solo project and natural musical progression & maturing of singer/songwriter, Charlotte Lloyd-Butler. Germinating from previous expressions of emotional pangs & impassioned pains, Ochre is a “vessel for the exploration of the construction of self”, whilst acting as a grace-giving approach to curiously exploring the processing and teachings of life’s multifarious encounters. After embracing the plentiful hedonistic gifts that Brighton offers, Charlotte digests the noise of living and presents a swirling introspective take that culminates in a sonic blend of atmospheric harmonies and a textural weave of guitars. Glorious golden hour warmth emits from nods to formative acoustic sounds, refined from time creating music in Falmouth whilst studying. Ochre contemplates the complexity of the human reaction with an intimacy and fragility that warmly supports as listeners are compelled to gaze inwards. Her debut single is anticipated for release in Autumn 2023, after a run of shows in the South West this summer.
