Back by popular demand! Selector extraordinaire Roots Ting returns to Cosies, this time joined by Junior Roy on the mic, for a Christmas Special Edition of Level the Vibes!
Roots Ting is a certified legend of the roots circuit - cutting his teeth and rising to fame in the 90s, he seldom plays out in the UK at any of the conventional reggae events these days, vying instead to play out in France and at big Dub festivals in Europe. So this is a rare chance to see him in action if you missed him when he played in Bristol last time. Recently he has started two record labels, 'Headstrong' and 'Common Ground Music' (who work closely with the mighty Jah Fingers label). Make sure to check these two labels if you are interested in quality roots and Digital Reggae music, new and old.
Joining us on mic duties on the night is rising star Junior Roy who has had vocal releases on Dub Forward, Ashanti Selah, Maffi (Jahtari), and Roots Youths Records, and has worked closely with Aba Shanti's son Ashanti Selah more recently. Catch him tearing up the mic, in an original style & fashion!
On support for the night is Spud Roots laying down a classic selection of Roots, Rub-A-Dub, Digital and more!
