NIMBUS SEXTET:
NIMBUS SEXTET, one of the most innovative groups in the new wave of UK jazz, are on a UK wide tour debuting new songs from their upcoming third album release. Performing in the UK and Europe's top jazz venues including Ronnie Scott's and New Morning (Paris), and selling out the prestigious Pizza Express Jazz Club and Glasgow Jazz Festival, the band have firmly established themselves as an increasingly major voice in the vibrant European jazz scene. The Nimbus sound comes courtesy of bandleader and primary composer Joe Nichols (keys/piano, harmonica), Michael Butcher (saxophone), Euan Allardice (trumpet), Sam Parkinson (guitar), Stephen Jack (bass) and Jack O'Rourke (drums) . Nimbus Sextet’s two albums on Acid Jazz Records – DREAMS FULFILLED (2020) and FORWARD THINKER (2022) – have garnered global acclaim from the likes of Jazzwise, Jazzed, Clash Magazine, Jamie Cullum on BBC Radio 2, and BBC Radio 6 Music (Huey Morgan, Craig Charles Funk & Soul Show). Jazz FM are major supporters of the band, awarding both of their albums the prestigious ‘Album Of The Week’ accolade upon release.

SpaceJams is an ever evolving outfit of musicians from Bristol, specialising in improvised music and taking influence from a variety of genres from around the globe including jazz, hiphop, samba, afrobeat and breakbeat. Starting as a garden party jam between friends, SpaceJams has quickly grown to become one of Bristol's best known open jams, running a monthly event at Lost Horizon, hosting some of the city's most talented musicians and London’s top Vinyl selectors including Tim Garcia and Poly-Ritmo. The SpaceJams house band will be playing an exclusive, live performance of material born organically in these improvised environments and developed into fully fledged tunes for your ears only.
