The olllam at Electric Bristol
See event details

A gig held at Electric Bristol on Saturday 3rd October. The event starts at 19:00.

The olllam is a band that fuses Irish traditional music with the modern jazz/post-rock energy of Detroit. Led by uilleann piper John McSherry, the band features Joe Dart (Vulfpeck), Michael Shimmin, Ross Ainslie, Seán O’Meara, and Joe Hettinga.

Following their acclaimed album elllegy (RTÉ Radio 1 Best Group), the olllam has collaborated with GRAMMY-nominated producer Zedd, shared

the stage in Belfast with actor Anthony Boyle (Netflix’s House of Guinness), and recently completed a landmark U.S. tour in November 2025.

From ancient airs to future soundscapes, the olllam is not just carrying the tradition forward—they’re reinventing it.

This show is a Band on the Wall fundraiser.
