Tape workshop #002 - Speedmod
An exploration into tape continuing on the Tape loop workshops held last year.
We will explore how DC motors motor and some of the different ways to control their motor speed.
You will be shown how to carry out the simplest and most effective mod I've discovered on a Bush tape deck and have the chance to mod you own to take home.
Speedmodding tape cassette players is a great way to build your own custom tape deck and looper for producing LOFI gritty ambience, atmospheres, loops and soundscapes.
After spending the last year slowly developing and prototyping tape record/replay, bias, muting, mixing and Motor control circuits I am finally ready to share what I have learnt in a series of workshops.
£100 including Tape deck and all materials included.
