WE NEED BANDS X Synthetica Present: ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ MICRODOG 2024 · ONE NIGHT ONLY With thirty-six bands competing in the 2024 MicroDog series, and only six finalists, there will be a lot of incredible bands who don't get to take part in the Thekla final in April. First added in 2023, the One Night Only event will return for the 2024 series, with one band being hand-picked from each heat to compete at this special event for the coveted headline slot at the Thekla final. First launched in 2015, The Underdog quickly established itself on the Bristol scene as an alternative to the larger national competitions. Hundreds of local bands have competed across the seven larger event series (and countless smaller events) at venues like o2 Academy, Thekla, The Fleece, Exchange, The Thunderbolt, and Zed Alley.
