The Spitfires will be conquering the skies as they headline Fiddlers on Friday 23rd November.
With their brilliant third album, Year Zero freshly under their belts, the Watford quartet are heading out on the road. The Spitfires are consist of songwriter Billy Sullivan on lead vocals and guitar, Sam Long on bass and backing vocals, Matt Johnson on drums and George Moorhouse on keyboards.
The band take influence from a wide range of genres, from reggae and ska through to punk and soul. This melting pot of musical genres has helped forge the band's own highly authentic sound and style into a progressive take for a new generation of fans. There is nothing to stop this four-piece powerhouse becoming one of the country's most exciting and diverse live acts. The Spitfires have successfully claimed a spot at number six on the UK Independent Charts as well as number one on the Indie Breaker's Charts. Following their blistering debut to national TV on BBC's Andrew Marr Show, the band have announced their new UK tour.
Supporting icons such The Specials, Paul Weller and The Skids, they never fail to deliver their raw talent and power. Over the last couple of Summers, the band have used their power to perform to vast audiences at The Isle of Wight, Reading & Leeds, Beautiful Days and Y Not Festival. However, this October, The Spitfires will be dominating the country singlehandedly.
Their headline show at Fiddlers on Friday 23rd November will also have support coming from Social Room.
