A brilliant night of big band music from Manchester Uni Big Band and Bristol Community Big Band at the Fiddlers Club in Bristol.
The Manchester University Big Band is an 18-piece big band who play a range of repertoire including classic swing, Afro-Latin, and contemporary and experimental big band charts. They are formed of students of various degrees of the University of Manchester. This year they are led by Romano Bezzi-Coddetta, Malachy McCormick, and Stan Lawrence.
The Bristol Community Big Band energetic local ensemble that plays a wide repertoire of swing, jazz, blues and Latin big band classics around Bristol and the South West. They are led by outstanding trumpeter Johnny Bruce.
