Simon Gardner is a bona fide trumpet legend having played in concert and recording sessions with Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Tony Bennett and Buddy Rich among 100's of others. He is currently playing lead trumpet in the 'Strictly' band on the BBC.

Tom Gardner is a rising star and recent graduate of the Royal Academy in London yet has already performed with Paloma Faith, Gregory Porter and Quincy Jones among many others.

Together, this father-and-son trumpet duo perform the music of trumpet siblings (and jazz legends) Pete and Conte Candoli. Both were first call big band and jazz recording artists from the 1940's through to the early 2000's.

The brothers' series of albums made in the 1960's are the epitome of swinging, melodic West Coast jazz with intricate arrangements and spellbinding trumpet interplay.

Making up the sextet are Denny Ilett (gtr) Dave Newton (pno) Will Harris (bass) and Mark Whitlam (drums).
