JOHN LAW'S RE-CREATIONS at Fringe Jazz
£12

A gig on Wednesday 27th March. The event starts at 20:00.

JOHN LAW'S Re-Creations are at FRINGE JAZZ at THE BRISTOL FRINGE Clifton Village on Wednesday 27th March at 8PM. Tickets £12.

John Law presents Volume 2 of his critically acclaimed Re-Creations project "Playing creative arrangements of other people's tunes" - well-known tunes from the world of jazz and pop alongside classic jazz standards. Volume 2 follows on from 2017's superb first album with the new CD being released later this year. Ten new pieces have been added to the bands repertoire including tunes like Satie's Gymnopédie, Over the Rainbow, Ob La Di, Radiohead's Pyramid Song and Adele's Hello. You can also expect to hear intriguing new arrangements of songs by The Beatles, Sting, Paul Simon, Michael Jackson besides some reworked jazz standards. The band includes the award winning saxophonist Sam Crockatt, the talented James Agg on Bass and the exciting drummer Billy Weir.

John Law is recognised as one of the UK's best jazz pianist and composers, always pushing the boundaries and always absorbing and rewarding to listen to. The Re-Creations gig at Fringe Jazz last April was a big success and this gig promises to be a night to remember.
