Jack Bessant is a solo singer-songwriter and the bassist/songwriter in planum selling English rock band Reef, formed in 1993. Jack wrote his "rst song for Reef in 1993, ‘Choose to Live’, about the death of his brother.Jack is a commi(ed surfer and acve member of his local skate community. He has hosted a number offundraisers for Cheddar Skate Park including the limited edion white label pre-release of the album LuckyMountain to help fund the new pump track.In 2012 Jack established ‘The Cheddar Experiment’ open mic night to nurture the local scene, share songsand jam with local musicians. In 2015 released his "rst solo album Been No"ed recorded in thefarmhouse on an 8 track tape machine accompanied by The Cheddar Experiment band.2020 saw Jack, via his own label, CHEDX Records, partner with High Head Recordings to distribute hisalbums ‘Been No"ed’ and ‘Lucky Mountain’ plus the ‘Peacemaker EP’ and his most recent EP ‘BrotherThunder’. Couple of reviews for Lucky Mountain:‘...if you’re willing to slip into the same low spiritual gear, it will speak to you…’ 7/10 Classic RockMagazine.‘...Bessant has made an album of charming in%macy and tuneful tender mourning…’ 4/5 RNR Magazine.October 2021 will see Jack launch the Brother Thunder EP as a limited edion vinyl to coincide with thelaunch of his new online store. The launch will be accompanied with a new video for the track BrotherThunder. A further EP of new music is also underway, release date TBC…
