A clubnight held at The Jam Jar on Friday 20th November. The event starts at 23:00.
Bristol's very own Basso Profilo teams up with London's born and bred MASS to serve a club night of global underground sounds accompanied by acoustic instrumentals.
A heavyweight lineup featuring headliner: TSVI. Since his Bristol landing back in 2023, TSVI has experienced meteoric fandom in the electronic music scene for his forward-thinking DJ sets and productions seamlessly rolling culture, cosmos, and stomp-worthy bangers all into one. Along with djing and producing, TSVI is co-owner of the Nervous Horizon record label and a resident at Rinse FM. Expect nothing but the best of percussive club, global bass, and electronic to turn a dancefloor inside out.
Introducing our first live musician Soufian serenading the sounds of Basso Profilo resident DJ Incan Dawn. This dynamic duo started playing together after a King Street pub meeting escalated into a late night jam session. Soufian will be playing a variety of classical instruments ranging from the mystical oud to the thumping guembri alongside Incan Dawn who will be selecting some of the freshest bass and techno picks from around the globe. Their sound is a head-on collision of contemporary club and traditional North African/Middle Eastern music.
Next, we have Cromie, our Milan-born Bristol-based DJ who founded Basso Profilo back to Italy out of a deep love of music, events, and community. Behind the decks, Cromie is a fast-evolving DJ who moves fluidly between genres including techno, global bass, baile funk, and speed dembow. Her current sonic focus is 140-150 rhythms matched with heavy percussion, provided by our second live musician David Artasha. Accompanying Cromie, David will be pairing the Duduk (an Armenian flute-like instrument) with live drumming inspired by Doumbek rhythms from Persian, Arabic, and West-African djembe drumming patterns that pulls a crowd into a wild primal energy.
And finally we have inda Flo, creator of MASS, a London-based DJ who is no stranger to the Bristol scene. Frequently playing at venues including Lost Horizon, The Trinity Centre, Cosies, and of course the Jam Jar, inda Flo is known for, put simply, throwing it down. Make no mistake that inda Flo will be serving up the kind of global bass and percussive club that warms up the floor in no time.
So come stir it up in a sonic melting pot of global dance music b2b with mad drums and eastern strings and much more. Early birds get the worm so get your tickets cheap for what will be a rare delight of a night.
Hosted by The Jam Jar, one of Bristol’s most loved cultural hubs and clubs.
