Spring Hoedown w/ Feral Mouth + Kai Carter's trio at The Jam Jar
Headfirst Editor's Pick

"Rootin’ tootin’ old time country / bluegrass double stomper just in time for the harvest. Feral Mouth make a raucous barndance racket with banjo, fiddle, double bass and mandolin - think O Brother Where Art Thou backwaters meets 90s alt-country Uncle Tupelo swagger."

Intertwining guitar, cello, banjo, mandolin, upright bass and skiffle drums alongside soulful harmonies, they create an authentic homage to roots country music, whilst stirring lyrics pose socio-political questions and heartfelt emotional narratives.

A collection of tasteful old time tunes from Bristol session pals. Playing vintage material and original compositions on a unique mix of mismatched instruments. Expect raucous picking, catchy melodies and hot rhythm. Original compositions building on the foundation of old time music with the influence of rag time, jazz, Americana, techno, you name it.
