See event details

A gig held at The Jam Jar on Thursday 2nd June. The event starts at 20:00.

A night of delicious soul, funk, disco, boogie, rare grooves and titillating excitement brought to you by some of Bristols finest Soul/Jazz musicians and music heads. Put together for this special show, we bring you a night inspired by 70's era Soul Train and BEYOND -- we want to see your best moves, your wildest grooves and don't forget to wear your platform heels, flares and ALL of the glam! Moving on through the genres, expect an exciting assortment of grooves and bangers to keep you moving through the night!

Super-duper Fly:
Scratch band of dreams, soul band of wonder bringing you the classics to get the party started right, featuring super special secret guests from the cream of bristols Soul Jazz scene.

DJ Mad Sax:
He rules the vinyl decks - the last law in a digital world gone out of control. When the MP3's take over the playlist, be thankful for DJ Mad Sax: Afro-latin, Tropical Disco, Funk, Electro-boogie and 80's assorted Cheeses. VINYL ONLY.

DJ Adam Nation:
DJ Adam Nation is the cure to the illness you never knew you had. He is also the illness itself. Banned from Mr Wolfs for being too sexy, dismissed from his old band for being too funky, Nation is up to his old tricks again - serving up white hot slices of funk, boogie and post disco from his special selection of sizzling classic and rare dancefloor bangers. These cuts will increase your sex appeal by proxy. Wear your best underwear.

£6 in advance, more on the door - get early to avoid disappointment!
