Bristol’s Anglo-Brazilian 8 piece band have successfully blended African and Latin influences to create what can only be defined as their own SOMA SOMA sound - where Brazilian percussion underpins Afrobeat bass lines and driving beats support a vintage horn section, that merge together to form a hearty dose of world music fusion. Released in March 2022, the band’s second studio album ‘Água Viva’ has received appraisal in the UK and in Brazil and it has appeared on several radio shows including Giles Petterson, Cerys Matthews, Gideon Coe and Tom Robinson’s on BBC RADIO 6 as well as featured on Yolanda Brown and Sarah Ward’s shows on Jazz FM.
