Cyanotype Workshop @ KIT FORM DARKROOM at KIT FORM

A event held at KIT FORM on Saturday 20th June. The event starts at 10:00.

Join Sula in the KIT FORM DARKROOM to learn all about the beautiful Cyanotype process!

Invented in 1842 by Sir John Herschel, the Cyanotype uses iron salts to produce a brilliant Prussian blue image that was initially used as a way to quickly reproduce notes and technical drawings. These “Blue prints” have since been adopted by the photographic community as a staple of creative image making.

You’ll learn how to mix the chemistry, to select & sensitise paper for printing, and how to expose & process your images to best take advantage of the distinctive cyanotype look.

This is a beginner friendly workshop, so no previous experience is required, and all materials are provided.

In collaboration with our friends at Negative Thinking. Book here: https://www.negative-thinking.co.uk/kf-cyanotypes
