Andy Hague’s Silverado

Silverado was formed around twenty years ago by Bristol based trumpeter Andy Hague to perform compositions by legendary jazz pianist Horace Silver. Silver first came to prominence in the early 1950s in recordings with trumpeter Clifford Brown and the first incarnation of The Jazz Messengers alongside drummer Art Blakey. A long tenure with Blue Note records followed, producing classics such as Song For My Father. Entering the 1970s his music included more funk influences, and he continued to lead bands featuring the cream of emerging jazz talent.
