An egg symbolizes new life, rebirth, and fertility, acting as a powerful emblem of creation and the potential for transformation across many cultures. It represents the cosmic origin of the universe, thus all of us. 

Together we will tune into this energy of renewal and new beginnings checking what is alive inside us and what resources we need to sustain it. A short visualisation in the beginning of the session will take you to a right place and you will have some time to journal that down before starting our creative activity.

In this workshop you will learn a completely natural way to decorate eggs - using onion skins which will give the eggs a beautiful deep red-brown colour. We will experiment with pressing in various plants that will stay the original light beige colour of the eggshell. There will also be a possibility of trying engraving on the pre-dyed eggs while waiting for the alchemy of dye

At the end of the workshop, you will have at least one egg decorated with plants and one egg with engraved patterns that will remind you about your process of renewal and rebirth this spring.

About the facilitator: Eva Živa Blažková is an artist and facilitator originally from Czechia, based in the UK over the last decade. Her art is devoted to restoring the earth-based spirituality and the feminine within the western culture. Živa likes to experiment with natural materials and weave into her creative work principles of ecopsychology and ritual.
