GrooveLine + LYLE
A gig held at Mr Wolfs on Friday 13th March. The event starts at 21:00.
GROOVELINE
GrooveLine are one of Ireland’s most dynamic and exciting upcoming bands. The 6 piece style bending band rooted in funk blend (High energy Funk, Groove, Hip-Hop, Rock , Jazz and Trad) to make a completely refreshing sound that is unlike anything in the Irish music scene. With their support slots for Belters Only and KNEECAP, GrooveLine are fronting a new wave of the Irish language in music.
LYLE!
Multi-instrumentalist producer Lyle Anderton wears a heart on their sleeve kinda fella. A
member of Bristol's contemporary Jazz scene, they have spent years developing in this
hotpot, ready to take new steps in new directions. Their music is Queer-centred, humorous,
surreal and looks to combine UK Jazz,West-coast soul, and latin and african rhythms. Often
heralded as a complimentary sonic accompaniment for fans of Jacob Collier, Thundercat,
David Bowie.
After a number of years performing as the front-man of a four-piece playing his original music, 2024 marks the rise of the LYLE! duo, synthesizers, drums and vocals combining for a hearty serving of Jazz, Funk and Soul music all stirring into a delicious soup. LYLE! imagines a world when the Bee Gees were lo-fi hip-hop, or if Stevie Wonder had written the Mario theme.
Entry requirements: 18+
