ANIMO
ANIMO is a rising neo-soul band from Austria and the UK, known for their intricate arrangements, rich harmonies, and contemporary sound. Since their formation in 2019, the quartet has established itself as an innovative force in the genre, blending elements of jazz, R&B, and soul into a distinctive musical identity. Founded by bassist and bandleader Alexander Figl, ANIMO features vocalist Miriam Schmid, guitarist Christoph Kuntner, and drummer Christoph Pfister. Each member is an accomplished musician in their own right, actively performing in Austria’s and UK’s music scene. However, ANIMO remains their most personal and collaborative project—an artistic endeavor that allows them to push creative boundaries while staying true to the essence of neo-soul.
ALEX ALBROW & THIS GUY ARE SICK
Alex Albrow is a composer, guitarist, producer from the Midlands, UK. Compositionally the music is a mix of late 60s psychedelic funk rock combined, an influence of 90s Japanese RPG video game orchestral music with a load of improvisation in the jazz spirit whilst trying to cram in bebop vocabulary over the top. Alex has released 2 x EPs under his own name; This guy are sick parts 1 and 2 which are available at alexalbrow.bandcamp.com or on all streaming platforms. The band features Bristol based musicians Maxwell Killing on bass and Finn Fraser King on drums.
