The Lyric Lounge Presents: Hip Hop’s birthday celebration at Mr Wolfs on August 11th, marking 49 years to the date of the birth of Hip Hop.

Back in 1973 on August 11th, within the recreation room at 1520 sedgewick Avenue, DJ Kool Herc spun records for his sisters birthday party with such new and innovative techniques that it is widely recognised as the single event that started the Hip Hop movement.

Come and join us in celebrating the legacy of Hip Hop, with DJ’s spinning classic tracks, open mic Hip Hop Cyphers, and live performances from dope local artists, hosted by The Caravan Collective!

Door Policy
Last entry with a ticket at 11:00pm, but all tickets holders are welcome to stay for the after show DJ until close. If you are planning to arrive later for the DJs, then payment will be taken on the door.
