Erotic Secrets of Pompeii @ Mr Wolfs at Mr Wolfs
£3 / £4 on the door

A gig held at Mr Wolfs on Thursday 12th September. The event starts at 21:00.

For one night only, the debonair Mr Wolf presents two acts so hedonistic and cacophonous that the heavens themselves will surely open to rain down fire and wipe out civilisation as we know it. Perhaps that isn't such a bad thing...

Mr Wolf's gives you Erotic Secrets of Pompeii + Beefywink

••• Erotic Secrets of Pompeii •••

Erotic Secrets of Pompeii play apocalyptic art rock with hooks so bent you could use them to catch an army of octopi.

Taking their cues from post-punk and experimental rock, ESOP's songs ring with disparate elements, from industrial to world music, with their songs turning from catchy groove-based euphony to discord and angulation. ESOP have been described as "deliciously disturbing" and "melodramatic, messianic televangelism for satanists".

FFO: Talking Heads, Nick Cave, Pixies, Snapped Ankles, IDLES, Fat White Family, The Clash

••• Beefywink •••

Twisted and vicious Post-Punk from Bristol, Beefywink derive their sound from a politically charged smorgasbord of genres. As well as the unmistakable snarl of both classic and modern Punk, influences include Hip-Hop, Dub, DnB and Drill. Polarising and witty, Beefywink's lyrics carry a fusion of flippant off-the-cuff remarks and philosophical guidance though our current political and social climate.

Fronted by K-RUSH and Daizy Daze, a Gonzo-esque commentary of real life is presented in the form of ecstatic rage and passion. Echoing, charged guitars compete with furious Drums (Peter Hawes) and guttural saxophone (Lauren Elsey) to create the cacophony of high octane madness that is BEEFYWINK.

FFO: Fugazi, Fontains DC, Gorillaz, Rage Against The Machine, Nick Cave & The Badseeds, IDLES
