Bluprint at Mr Wolfs
See event details

A gig held at Mr Wolfs on Tuesday 11th October. The event starts at 21:00.

JazzFunkSoul Bristol is proud to present Bluprint, the new project of Dan Newberry (sax), Guy Shotton (organ) and Alex Goodyear (drums). The three play regularly on the Cardiff and Bristol scenes, and exhibit an impressive chemistry developed through years of playing together. Bluprint promise to deliver dancefloor friendly face-melting jazz.

Rising sax star Dan Newberry has made a name for himself with his musical originality and impeccable tone. A versatile player, Dan is equally at home shredding over Giant Steps as he is executing judgment on funk tunes. The baddest B3 burner in Bristol, Guy Shotton, will be delivering his signature blend of creative accompaniment and killer improvisation. Guy has honed his skills on the organ over recent years, following an extensive background in classical and jazz piano. Joining Guy in the rhythm section is the inimitable Alex Goodyear. Expect jungle infused breakbeat grooves and impressive solos.
