A Night in Istanbul will feature beautiful and lively Turkish music from Hazir Ensemble with guest dance performers, including the master teacher, Ozgen. Other guest performers and some of her students will be performing some of Ozgen’s choreographies. It’s a rare opportunity to have Turkish music performed live. It’s an event not to be missed!

Sacha presents a whole fun-packed and inspiring weekend with the international star of Turkish Oryantal style, Ozgen Ozgec, and the wonderful sounds of the Hazir Ensemble, in a weekend of workshops and performances to celebrate Turkish music and dance.

SATURDAY
Saturday workshops will be with Sacha and Hazir Ensemble:

9:15am - Join us for tea and sustenance before workshops start

09:45-12:45 - 9//8 Turkish Romani dance workshop with live music from Hazir - open level (individual price £30)

12:45-13:30 - lunch - there is a cafe on site or several within walking distance

13:30-15:00 - Drumming workshop covering a 9/8 rhythms used in Turkish Romani songs - open level (individual price £20)

15:15-16:45 - Melody and Singing workshop - learn two beautiful songs - open level (individual price £20)

SUNDAY
Ozgen will be teaching two workshops on Sunday:

10:00-12:00 - Dynamic Turkish flavour Drum Solo featuring Ozgen’s signature style - intermediate level (individual price £30)

12:15-13:15 - Sacha will also be teaching how to play and dance with zills in a short introduction - open level (individual price £10)

13:15-14:30 - lunch

14:30-16:30 -Ozgen’s Choreography to a classic Oum Kalthoum song Baed Annak - intermediate level (individual price £30)

We have weekend tickets available, which includes ALL workshops for both days AND entry to the evening party on Saturday night. £120 Bargain!

If you can only make one day we have day tickets available for either day which is for the workshops only £60 a day - an additional ticket for the evening show will need to be purchased.

If you can only make one of the workshops, you can purchase individual workshop tickets for any of the workshops over the course of the weekend. £30 (Ozgen/turkish Roman dance with band) £20 (rhythm and melody) or £10 (zills)

If you can't make the workshops but want to enjoy an evening of Turkish music and dancing and bring along your friends, you can purchase evening tickets £15
