The sonnet is one of the most famous and beloved forms of poetry worldwide and continues to find new ways to adapt and respond to modern day themes and issues. This event features readings from three poets: Terrance Hayes (American Sonnets for My Past and Future Assassin), Luke Kennard (Notes on the Sonnets) and Jacqueline Saphra (One Hundred Lockdown Sonnets). Each poet reads from their work, followed by a discussion and Q&A exploring their relationship to the sonnet form as a tool for 21st century poetic expression.
