A event on Saturday 30th January. The event starts at 10:00.

Join Green New Deal UK and Bristol creatives, journalists and community activists for a morning of interactive workshops designed to stimulate hopeful dreams, new ideas and concrete actions for a better Bristol. Each workshop can be attended as a stand-alone event, or combined with others for a full morning dose of New Years' inspiration! How can climate, social and racial justice be woven into the very fabric of our future city?

Workshop 1: Stretch your imagination
10am - 10.45am
To get to the future we want, we first have to imagine it. Join us as we time travel to 2040 and Bristol is thriving within planetary boundaries. Writers and all creative thinkers - bring your coffee and creativity to this session.
Hosted with Deborah Tomkins of Bristol Climate Writers & Sophie Cheng from Cli-fi for beginners

Workshop 2: Media, Conversations & Community
11am - 11.45am
Join the finest of Bristol’s journalists and media makers for a collaborative conversation on the ways we might tell a different story for the future for Bristol.
Hosted with Adam Cantwell-Corn, co-founder of The Bristol Cable, Podcaster & Creative Producer, Will Taylor & Olivia Sweeney, Black and Green Ambassador and Ujima radio host

Workshop 3: Food for the future, from farm to fork
12pm - 12.45pm
By 2040 the way we grow, transport and eat our food may be very different. Join us for a delicious discussion with innovative local organisations, to talk about what’s needed to create a resilient food system that includes everyone, and how we can translate discussion into action.
Hosted with Louise Delmege, co-director at National Food Service Bristol, Sara Venn, founder of Incredible Edible Bristol and Ped Asgarian, director of Feeding Bristol.
