A event on Saturday 19th March. The event starts at 10:30.

Have you been itching to learn some basic sewing skills using a domestic sewing machine? Maybe your own machine is gathering dust at home and you need some help taking the first step? If so, this bag making for beginners workshop is the perfect start to your sewing adventure!

In this three hour sewing workshop you’ll make a beautiful cotton shoulder bag complete with lining and pockets to take home after. You’ll be given all the materials ready-cut with detailed instructions on how to sew your tote bag. Lauren will guide you through the whole process, showing you how to thread and use the machine, and construct your bag. Lauren will provide plenty of tips and tricks on sewing techniques for you to use in future projects.

All other sewing accessories will be provided, so all you need to do is turn up!

What you’ll learn:

- Threading and using a domestic sewing machine
- General sewing techniques
- Using a rivet press
- Achieving a professional finish
- Basic bag making techniques

There are only 5 places on this workshop plus an extra 2 for anyone who wants to bring their own machine, so book soon to avoid disappointment.

"Lauren offered plenty of advice and was very knowledgeable and experienced to tutor beginners through step by step clear instruction to make a really good quality bag. I didn't feel at all pressured and Lauren instilled confidence to not only complete the task of making a beautiful bag to keep but continue to use a sewing machine. I can't wait for the next workshop. Great value, very enjoyable. Many thanks for your hard work Lauren for a very well organised well equipped workshop." - Lynda Smith, Feb 2022

Saturday 19th March, £55 each including all materials, 10:30am - 1:30pm, Prior Shop, Quakers Friar, Bristol.
