Your Voice, Your Power - Poetry Workshop with Sukina Noor at Royal West of England Academy
Free

A event on Friday 12th June. The event starts at 11:00.

Words have always carried people across borders.

As part of Evolve Music’s Community Rhythms project, Bristol City Poet Sukina Noor invites you to find your voice, claim your story, and discover the power of your own words in this special poetry workshop as a part of Bristol Refugee Festival.

Whether you are new to poetry or have been writing for years, this is a space to be heard. Sukina brings two years of experience as Bristol’s City Poet, alongside a warmth and openness that makes this workshop welcoming to all. Come ready to explore, reflect, and express — no experience necessary, just a willingness to share.

This session is open to those with experience of migration.

Come as you are. Leave with something that is yours.

When: Friday 12 June 2026, 11am – 1pm

Where: Royal West of England Academy, Queen’s Road, Bristol BS8 1PX
