Body/Distracted at Sidney & Eden
See event details

A event held at Sidney & Eden on Sunday 7th April. The event starts at 18:00.

Work in progress from Louise Leigh, one of Bishopston's best middle aged lady comedians (and Gloucester Road Gadabout) and her friend Pauline Eyre up from That London to make some jokes for you.

The blurb on Pauline Eyre's BODY: She’s had it all her life and, finally, comedian Pauline Eyre is ready to celebrate her body. She's always hated but it's mostly been pretty good to her, what with all the babies etc. But then it rebelled and she realised that it's not the outside that matters, it's the inside - organs, fluids and that.
**** British Theatre Review

Blurb for Louise Leigh Distracted:

Leicester Mercury Finalist, British Comedian of the Year semi-finalist, Funny Women semi finalist, Louise Leigh’s “imaginative, brilliant” (The Scotsman), “Hare-brained” (Funny Women) and, “like a Radio 2 DJ caught in the tabloids” (the Wee Review). As heard on BBC Radio Bristol talking about that time she went on an e-scooter and thought her fanny was going to fall out.

This new comedy hour is likely to include notes on her dog, on not being productive, unusual ways to be remembered when you die, how to stuff your children with the crap they need to leave home, Bridgerton and biscuits.

Or it could just be silly chat. Either way, it'll be a great way to spend an evening.

The last time we did this, there was a global pandemic about a week later. It's not our fault.
