“The best musical discovery of the year...Stunningly powerful vocal harmony in the tradition of the Watersons, The Voice Squad, and Coope, Boyes, and Simpson, Windborne sets a new bar for folk harmony singing today” -Brian O'Donovan, National Public Radio _______________________________________________________________________________ TIckets available on the door. _______________________________________________________________________________ Hailing from Vermont, the four Windborne Singers all trained and sing with the world renowned Northern Harmony, and bring their wide ranging musical interests to their performances, featuring songs from Corsica, the Republic of Georgia, Sardinia, the Basque country and more, alongside soulful renditions of Americana, and powerful arrangements of protest songs. The group was catapulted to new heights when a clip of them singing in protest outside Trump tower went viral, and their Indiegogo for their project, Songs on the times, raised 1,600% of its goal from 2,600 people in every State and 22 countries. They educate as they entertain, telling stories about the music and explaining the characteristics and stylistic elements of the traditions in which they sing. _______________________________________________________________________________ "Some of the finest singers of protest and folk music that I have ever heard...One of the Best Albums of 2017! " -SingOut! Radio Magazine "Spectacularly good, utterly brilliant...a hugely impressive album!" -Blues and Roots Radio "Completely enthralled with them from the first notes...their harmonies are gorgeous..." -No Depression __________________________________________________________________________ For more details, and for updates, see the FB event page: https://www.facebook.com/events/464520167828943/ __________________________________________________________________________ Concessions: For those receiving benefits for low income, unemployment, DLA, PIP or pension credit, or for registered foster carers and children from ages 10-16.
