A event on Saturday 28th March. The event starts at 10:00.
An invitation from Laughter Coker, a young nature enthusiast and member of the Bristol Tree Craft community:
I’m hosting a nature connection and photography walk on Saturday 28th March, and I’d love for you to join me.
This walk is specifically for young people (under 30) with African or Caribbean heritage, living in Bristol - people like me, to spend time outdoors together, exploring and feeling at ease in nature.
Over the past few years I’ve found a deeper connection and care for the natural spaces around Bristol, and I want to share that experience. On this walk, we’ll spend time by Duchess Pond in Stoke Park and wander through some of the woodlands and hills nearby. It’s a chance to notice the variety of nature that exists right next to the city centre.
You don’t need experience with photography or any special equipment. The focus is on slowing down and noticing, being present rather than doing. If you’d like, you can bring a camera or your phone to capture moments that catch your eye.
• Timings: 10:00am - 12:00pm. Feel free to arrive at the meeting location from 9:45am.
• Location: Stoke Park Estate. Google Maps: https://maps.app.goo.gl/Kya4CabKDYvLcjdS8
• What to bring: sturdy shoes, weather appropriate clothing, water to drink, camera or smartphone to take photos (optional)
This walk is completely free to attend and there will be some snacks too! Spaces are limited, so please only book a ticket if you will be able to attend the workshop. Further details, including the exact meeting location will be shared over email following booking.
