"We are not worthy of this visit from the godfather of Chicago footwork, RP Boo. One hundred and sixty bpm and the sweat’s gonna be flying round the SB frontroom. Boo tops an already huge lineup of broken beat, house, jungle, soul and jazzy goodness."

A
clubnight
held at Strange Brew
on Saturday 15th October. The event starts at 22:00.
BUBBLE is a groove-led eclectic electronic music night that may just be what Bristol needs!
Representing dance-floor sounds from the cross section of UK and US dance-floor styles designed to make you move. From soulful cuts, to instrumental hiphop, underground house, garage, broken-beat, jungle, and the styles associated with NYC, Detroit and Chicago, we’re gonna get down and get sweaty each and every time.
Bubble dance No 1 in February saw us bring Shy One and George Riley down, Bubble 2 in July was with Fiyahdred and DJ Fett Burger, and this time around for Bubble dance no 3 we have teamed up with the wonderful 'Touching Bass' crew to bring you:
Originator and leader. All round nice guy and man with a smile as big as his personality. A true badman and Footwork don from Chicago. Word has it, last time he was in town he didn't wanna leave. Those who were at that night know what went down! Chopped up bass, jazz and soul samples, hiphop attitude, all within the house/ghettotech/juke 160bpm mould. We are supremely happy to have RP BOO on this line-up to close out the night on the increasingly beefy Strange Brew soundsystem. Expect Bass.
Errol & Alex Rita:
The leaders of the Touching Bass crew. Errol and Alex have been getting busier, and seen and heard a lot of late. On a personal level here at Bubble, this is a vibe we can totally relate to. It's the diverse love and appreciation of a broad section of black music styles and sounds. Their NTS shows are legendary. The nights in London intimate and vibey. Their recent 20 track 'Soon Come' compilation is a wonderfully broad project, a great example of all this positive musical energy and graft that resulted in a nice feature in Crack magazine. You might have caught them at Love International. You might have caught them in the woods at 'We Out Here'. Errol recently played Panorama Bar! They are smashing it. From the first moment, we figured that this pair of lovely people behind the booth in Strange Brew would be a vibe.
Ben Hauke (live set):
Ben is a 23 year old producer and DJ with so much promise. Already he has released on Far Out, Co-Op (a crew he's been working with more recently on the broken-beat tip), CHURCH, co-wrote and produced a top track for Oscar Jerome, and has had one of his tracks featured on Cinthie's 'DJ Kicks' mix from earlier this year. His EP 'One Year Dance' on his own 'Woop Records' was one our favourite dance music EPs of 2021, and his recent track on the Touching Bass 'Soon Come' compilation is a killer piece of broken-beat that hints at the flavour of his live set. Like IG Culture meets Hessle Audio meets Mr G, this is a hybrid DJ/MPC set that's gonna get you bubblerz jackin'.
