Nihiloxica at Strange Brew
See event details

A gig held at Strange Brew on Wednesday 10th November. The event starts at 20:00.

With their percussion-driven electronica, Nihiloxica craft hypnotic, irresistible rhythms. “One of electronic music’s most original and exciting acts” (XLR8R), the Anglo-Ugandan band harnesses a sound brimming with nuanced tone and texture.

Their tracks offer an ominous yet enticing trip through a dense sonic fauna filled with dark brooding techno, playful instrumentation, and warped electronics.

Last summer the six-piece released their “powerful and exciting” (The Quietus) debut record ‘Kaloli’, recorded in Bradford after they supported Aphex Twin. The album captures Nihiloxica’s feverish vivacity.

Live they bring a searing dynamism, previously headlining Nyenge Nyenge Festival and playing at Berlin’s CTM.

This is a Bristol Beacon presents show at Strange Brew, 10-12 Fairfax St, Bristol BS1 3DB.

16+ (Under 18’s to be accompanied by an adult.)
