Events on Wednesday 10th November
“A revealing and uplifting film about ordinary people who have stepped in where governments have held back. Skirting the dangerous Libyan coast, the squalid streets of Paris, and the hidden churches of Rome, it was filmed over one year by journalist and former refugee worker Sharon Walia. A testament to the generosity and fearlessness of those people battling to save migrants on land, sea and from the air. This is their story.”

“Originating from West London but now residing on the south coast, Freya Beer deftly mixes poetical lyrics with a distinctive sound, often drawing influence from the likes of Patti Smith, Bat for Lashes and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.”

“John & Dave's Quartet was the first gig we had to cancel due to Covid back in March 2020, so we are really pleased that 'only' 20 months later we are able to welcome this great institution of the Bristol Jazz scene to our new venue. The line-up for tonight is the wonderfully exciting violinist John Pearce, the multi award-winning Dave Newton on piano, the brilliant Will Harris on double bass and a drummer who looks awfully like the bloke who plays in Kasabian, the one and only Ian Matthews.”

“During these unprecedented times, we continue to reschedule our events to what we hope is a more realistic period. If it turns out your event is moved, or moved again, we encourage you to keep hold of your tickets (think of how SWEET that show will be when we can host & attend them once again) and hang in there just a little longer. Thanks for all of your continued support!”
