More Than presents... Painting By Numbers

— Temple Meads Tunnels
A pop up installation of club music, light & live art in a series of underground tunnels...
price: Headfirst Tickets

Yewwww! More Than's back & this time we're taking over a series of abandoned tunnels beneath temple meads train station. Deep down in the belly of these dormant ash pits, we're creating a pop up installation of club music, light & live art.

We're packing a state of the art laser show from Glastonbury & a London based infinity mirror light installation transported down the M4 & rebuilt especially for the evening in Bristol. Joining us are art magazines Inter:Mission & Helicon who will be curating a one of a kind interactive art exhibition made in the moment & unveiled throughout the evening.

All this in hands down the most exciting expanse we've ever had the pleasure of taking over...

// MAIN TUNNEL - Loco Numbers Club

[ Hosted by More Than ]

Heading up the main tunnel are party starters & all round fun guns, More Than. With a knack for keeping things loose 'n lairy, the past year has seen them play a who's who of Bristol clubbing venues from Motion to Lakota and The Old Crown Courts.

They'll be taking control of Loco Numbers Club in the main tunnel and having their very merry way with it. As it transpires, that includes booking the guys behind Glastonbury Festival's mind-bending laser shows and installing an infinity mirror light display into the space's main cavern for an all encompassing sensory overload of a party.

Early hours support will be provided through More Than's Selector Sessions system. Get a mix in to the page for a chance to play at their upcoming smaller party. The best DJ on that night will be given a slot to open Painting By Numbers. Details can be found here: Selector Sessions > 004

// SECOND TUNNEL - Loco Colouring Club

[ Inter:Mission & Helicon ]

Bristol art heavyweights & painting provocateurs Inter:Mission & Helicon lay host to Loco Colouring Club as they curate & run a live art exhibition shaped & influenced by the evening's discourse. A selection of their esteemed artists will receive a blank canvas at the start of the evening & begin to interpret a brief displayed on the tunnel walls. At the end of the evening the pieces they've created will be organised together for viewing with an auction then taking place for people to grab one of these unique pieces & spice up their room.

In addition to this, they'll be running a large scale interactive painting by numbers. Fancy a break from the music & a fag just don't cut it? Grab a beer & paint a block for £1. All ticket holders will have a chance to reinterpret a modern classic on a giant 3m x 2m canvas. The end of the evening will see everyone who bought a block entered into a draw to take this huge piece home.

All proceeds from this tunnel will be going to the fantastic Help Refugees (https://helprefugees.org/) to assist in Europe's current refugee crisis. We'll also be asking for donations throughout the evening.

We had to apply to the council for a temporary events notice in order to use this hallowed space and keep it open late. As such capacity's extremely limited. This one's been many months in the making & we're expecting a strong response. We will sell out in advance of the installation.

Please note: re-entry will not be allowed due to limited spaces; we want all ticket holders to experience the installation/party in its full form. we will have a bar operating in the tunnels, it will be cash only.

Security will be in operation at the entrance to the tunnels & a search will be a condition for entry. Heading inside we will have a box office set up on the left hand side of the first cavern - here ticket holders will be able to claim their wristband for the installation which will gain them access to the entire evening's proceedings. Anybody found without a wristband will be evicted.

A limited batch of pre-sale tickets (£12) will go out to previous more than party goers. After this, the remaining bulk will go on sale mid March. If you miss out, we will not be selling any on the door. We will, however, do our best to issue ticket warnings once each tier has sold out

All tickets via Headfirst: £12 / £15 / £18
