Legendary British hip hop duo Dr Syntax & Pete Cannon are back once again with their new EP ‘The Tonic 3’, and a raucous live show featuring music from over a decade of working together.
Dr Syntax is a renowned lyricist with a wide range of concepts and styles in his writing, often with a comedic yet socially conscious slant. Ever since the early 2000s, he has remained at the forefront of the UK’s underground hip hop scene, consistently releasing music and touring.
While he has countless features to his name, his work with Pete Cannon remains some of his most enduring and varied, matching his unique flow to Pete’s eclectic mix of boom bap hip hop, breakbeat and jungle.
Pete Cannon is an award-winning and highly revered producer and DJ, releasing dance music through his N4 imprint and amassing a worldwide cult following in the process. He’s never far from his hip hop roots though, constantly cooking up new bangers for the cream of the crop of UK MCs, his work with Dr Syntax being no exception.
‘The Tonic 3’ is the third in a trilogy of releases, following previous instalments in 2016 and 2018 respectively. The new EP is packed with witty lyrics and heavyweight bangers, sure to delight long-term fans and new listeners alike.
