Kay Grant Group at The Bristol Fringe
Advance Tickets

A gig held at The Bristol Fringe on Sunday 10th August. The event starts at 20:30.

Kay Grant has the kind of voice that magically sews your ragged edges and submerges you in warmth and ease. A voice that will tickle your fancy, flirt with your heart-strings, and wrap you in its warm embrace.

A style-spanning vocalist who’s toured and recorded internationally, Grant is now settled blissfully in Bristol, busy building a buzz with her swinging quartet, here with Neil Smith on guitar, (Slate Trio, This Is The Kit), Luke Annesley on Alto Sax (Moonscape) and Riaan Vosloo on double bass (Run Logan Run, Matthew Bourne).

While she may be better known for making it up in the moment with other free music maestros, Kay Grant Group plays it straight, celebrating the classic jazz standards and their stories with a double scoop of due respect.

This promises to be a jazz oasis in the middle of the annual summer musical slooow-dooown. Come along to the brilliant Bristol Fringe for an evening of timelsss tunes with a free and easy feel filled with sugar and spice.

“Grant allows her voice to be led where the heart desires… with spectacular wit and the choicest of musical wisdom.” – All About Jazz
