The Hounds Of Lounge at The Bristol Fringe
See event details

A gig held at The Bristol Fringe on Sunday 17th December. The event starts at 18:00.

The Hounds Of Lounge are singer Joanna Swan and guitarist Nick Pullin.
Together they have been making music for over 35 years.
Their work as ILYA, drew massive critical acclaim in 2002, when they were signed to Virgin Records and Chrysalis Publishing, with their debut album, They Died For Beauty.
They have subsequently released 11 albums of original songs, which are available on their band camp - ilyasounds.bandcamp.com
Their songs have been used in worldwide advertising campaigns with Revlon and Cacharel and been featured on TV and also in the Hollywood blockbuster Mr Brooks. The pair have also played at Ronnie Scotts, The Soho Jazz Festival, The Groucho Club and many other notable venues.
Joanna and Nick's love of jazz. blues, soul and 60’s pop, very much influenced the distinctive ILYA sound.
In fact, it was the years spent (prior to being signed) playing all their favourite classic songs, that had a great impact on their song writing.
The Hounds Of Lounge is an opportunity to pay tribute to some of these great songs but uniquely interpreted in their own distinctive style.
At the Fringe, Joanna and Nick will perform a curated set of standards from the 30’s to 00’s followed by a fun Christmas set with their friend and fabulous singer Tammy Payne.

Entry requirements: no age restrictions
