Hesta Banks

Hesta Banks at The Bristol Fringe

A gig held at The Bristol Fringe on Sunday 20th September. The event starts at 17:30.

With bright, warm vocals and reflective lyrics, Hesta Banks is a singer-songwriter treading her own multi-genre path, inspired by the likes of Labi Siffre, Lianne La Havas, Radiohead and Sondheim. Though currently Bristol-based, Hesta Banks wrote most of her debut album, Eyes Forward, whilst living in South Wales. The record is an exploration of identity, home and authenticity, all while journeying through a range of genres from jazz, pop, folk and even D&B. Several songs from Eyes Forward have been premiered on both BBC Radio Wales and Bristol, including ‘Sand in Your Hair’, which was inspired by her visits to Barry’s Cold Knap Beach.

Entry requirements: no age restrictions
