See event details

A gig held at The Bristol Fringe on Thursday 23rd May. The event starts at 20:00.

This gig will be an exciting collaborative meeting of minds and the brainchild of music heavy weights James Morton and Tony Rémy. Influenced by a wide range of musical styles including jazz, funk, hip-hop, soul and rock, the common thread is groove and feel.

James is one of the most exciting saxophonists of his generation and has performed and recorded with some of the most prolific artists in music including Pee Wee Ellis, Fred Wesley and The New JB’s, George Clinton, The Herbaliser and the NPG Horns (Prince) to name a few. He also has released 2 albums “The Kid” and “Don’t You Worry ‘Bout That” to critical acclaim.

Teaming up with James is Tony Rémy, one of the U.K.'s most iconic guitarists... Another musician who can fit in so easily to any genre, his hard-edged rhythmically driven approach is enriched with jazz intuition and bluesy soul.
