The Jazz Defenders - 10th Birthday Bash
A gig held at The Bristol Fringe on Thursday 28th August. The event starts at 20:00.
Formed a decade ago with a deep love for the classic sounds of Blue Note and a mission to make jazz thrilling, danceable, and fiercely fresh, The Jazz Defenders are celebrating 10 years of groove, grit and glorious gigs.
Led by virtuoso pianist and composer George Cooper, this Bristol-based powerhouse has grown into one of the UK’s most formidable jazz outfits, blending hard bop, soul jazz, funk, hip hop and cinematic flair into a sound that’s entirely their own.

Expect deep grooves, world-class musicianship, special guests, and a celebration of a band that’s spent the last ten years redefining modern soul jazz.
