Sam Norris Quartet at The Bristol Fringe
See event details

A gig held at The Bristol Fringe on Tuesday 1st April. The event starts at 20:00.

A significant force on the young UK jazz scene, a couple of years graduated from the Royal Academy of Music, alto saxophonist and composer Sam Norris brings a distinctive voice to the instrument and a considered, and informed approach to his music that draws influence from many domains; including visual art and contemporary music.
His debut album 'Small Things Evolved Slowly' was met by critical acclaim and saw him and his quartet; featuring NYC born Will Sach on bass, Jay Verma on piano and Harry Ling on drums, carrying out a UK tour of the music.
We are really happy and excited to host the band for the last in their run of present engagements and hope that some Bristol friends and fans of contemporary jazz in all of its morphic variations can come out to support this very talented young leader and his brilliant ensemble.

'Norris and his band are certainly talents worthy of wider recognition.' (All About Jazz, 2024)

Music from 8pm, doors 7.30pm.

Entry requirements: no age restrictions
