See event details

A gig held at The Bristol Fringe on Tuesday 4th November. The event starts at 20:00.

Promising young alto saxophonist and composer Liam Brennan graduated from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in recent years and earned a host of prestigious accolades for his talent and thoughtful, informed approach to composition/arranging- including a 2022 commission to arrange music by the great Mike Gibbs for large ensemble, for performance by students of the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. Liam has now gone on to study music composition on the continent, and currently residing in Oslo, we are excited to welcome him back for this exciting gig at FITR, a step closer to home.

The sextet of brilliant young talent comprises:

Liam- Alto Saxophone/Flute + compositions
James Romaine- Alto Saxophone
James Borland- Trumpet
Simeon May- Tenor Saxophone/ Bass Clarinet
Josh Vadiveloo- Double Bass
Kai Chareunsky- Drums

This will be an absolutely belting gig, as Liam brings many contrasting and engaging influences to his music from both the jazz canon, as well as folk and classical musics; all woven together with his own poignant, astute sensibility. Musicality and dynamite interaction at the fore, this is one to come and hear whilst they are in town! :)

Entry requirements: 14+
