A gig held at The Canteen on Thursday 8th May. The event starts at 21:30.

Free entry!

This new project born in the South West aims to bring a new and immersive experience to jazz, funk and fusion music. Juxter features the keyboardist Dave Morecroft (who previously wowed CIC audiences in the Spring in his jazz trio), who had toured across the world with his jazz/punk band WorldService Project, including the major jazz festivals of Tokyo, Goa, Berlin, London and across Europe and the United States. He joins the highly experienced rhythm section of Anthony Channer and Robin Parker in this new venture, with original music devised together by the trio.

Jazz, funk and fusion collide in this upbeat musical package, with influences ranging from Weather Report, Jaco Pastorius, Maceo Parker, Frank Zappa and Herbie Hancock. Blistering keyboard solos will feature alongside funky grooves, captivating riffs and basslines to create an engaging and charismatic musical mix.

Entry requirements: 18+
