Blue Break Beats are a six piece Band documenting the Jazz influenced, groove based music that was recorded on the famous Blue Note record label in the very late 60s early 70s in New York. These are the beats that were heavily sampled in early Hip Hop in the 80s and then re emerged in the acid Jazz movement in the 90s. What a journey!
The band are driven by drums and percussion with brass hooks over the top and hammond organ underneath to give this a truly authentic sound.
