Tonic 016: China Bowls at The Director's Cut, Horts Bar
£5 On The Door

A event on Thursday 6th February. The event starts at 19:00.

Tonic's first main show of 2020 kicks off the new year and decade with a belter of a sesh at our favourite spot in the city: The Director's Cut, Horts, Bristol!!
Along with their RIDICULOUSLY COMFY CHAIRS, cinema projector and stylish lighting, we have: Open Mic, Scratch Showcase, Half-Time Prompt and Q&A, with our Music & Poetry Party headlined by melodious music-maestro China Bowls.
The event is hosted by the friendly Team Tonic: Chris Vox, Taran Spalding-Jenkin and Maya Blackwell.

HEADLINER
Singer songwriter China Bowls delivers a smooth honey pot of sounds, combining neo soul, jazz and hip hop influences.
Bowls' acrobatic vocals weave in and out of her percussive guitar tones and combine with honest lyricism to tackle a range of subjects including grief, belonging and horrible bosses.
Wowing crowds from the likes of Sofar Sounds and The Louisiana, we're really excited to start the new year with such a kickass headline performer!
"Soulful and with a jazz-like dexterity, her approach is broad, open to fresh influence while retaining that instantly recognisable voice." - Clash Magazine

Stay tuned on our Social Media channels (@BristolTonic) for more info about our Scratch Showcase performers and, of course, our Instaview with China herself!
