Steve Tilston at Bristol Folk House
£16.50 Inc admin fee

A gig held at Bristol Folk House on Friday 6th June. The event starts at 20:00.

Perhaps best known for his song-writing prowess (as seen on BBC Four’s Songwriters’ Circle and a BBC Radio 2 Folk Award winner for Best Original Song) Steve is also a dazzling guitarist drawing from folk, blues, jazz and classical to create a sound that is recognisably Tilston.

Together with Bristol music scene stalwart and old mate, harmonica maestro Keith Warmington, ace jazz drummer Tony Orrell on percussion and regular accompanist, Yorkshire pal Hugh Bradley on double bass, he’ll be sharing new songs and a selection of his best-loved songs too. We’re guaranteed a special treat.

“The quality of his songs is beyond question; his strident vocal delivery and, particularly, his mastery of his acoustic guitar are striking, and Last Call is awash with evidence of those talents.” At The Barrier

“…songs of great heart, delivered with authority and instrumental panache.” The Scotsman

“The more you listen, the more there is to discover.” Bob Harris

“A great narrator on top form.” The Observer

Entry requirements: 18+
