Rosina and Friends at Bristol Folk House
See event details

A gig held at Bristol Folk House on Sunday 14th June. The event starts at 20:00.

Join visionary multidisciplinary artist Rosina Buck alongside a one-night-only collective of musicians, collaborators and kindred spirits for the launch celebration of her debut EP collection, Before It Snows, at the legendary Bristol Folk House on 14th June 2026.

Described by Atwood Magazine as music that “carries a kinetic, embodied energy, offering listeners heart-led experiences that linger long after the final breath,” Rosina’s work exists somewhere between confessional poetry, cinematic folk, dreamlike storytelling, and emotional exorcism. Songwriting Magazine described her music as “a Trojan Horse on which she sneaks her deeply personal lyrics into your brain, at which point you absorb the story of her life until it becomes part of you,” while also praising her writing as “very visual, almost cinematic.” Bristol 24/7 wrote that “Rosina’s spirit, story, music and lyrics appear as one triumphant smile,” describing performances that are “full of charm and joy.”

Supported by Help Musicians UK and recently awarded funding from Arts Council England, Before It Snows is a raw, radiant and deeply human six-track EP exploring love, addiction, longing, heartbreak, recovery, and the slow, hard-won return to self. Written across different seasons of Rosina’s life and shaped during the fragile stillness of early sobriety, these songs trace the patterns we inherit, the stories we repeat, and the moments we finally begin to wake up.

This special launch night will celebrate the release of Part 1 of Rosina’s two-EP collection, with Part 2, Biscuit Tin, arriving later this year.

Expect an intimate live performance full of music, poetry, storytelling, and connection. Ethereal folk landscapes, moments of fierce vulnerability, playful unexpected turns, and songs that feel less like performances and more like worlds to step inside. Rosina will also be joined by some very special guests for the evening.

This event also feels like a deeply full-circle moment for Rosina, who spent many years working in the café at the Bristol Folk House and carries so many cherished memories from that time. Returning here to launch the EP makes this night feel like more than a performance; it’s a homecoming, a weaving together of past and present, and a quiet, powerful return to a place that has been part of her story and becoming.

Rosina has previously performed at acclaimed festivals including Glastonbury Festival, Green Man Festival, Boomtown Fair and Shambala Festival, as well as iconic venues such as Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club and St Pancras Old Church. Her work has also received praise from publications including Loud Women, Fortitude Magazine and CLOUT.

Come celebrate an evening of songs, stories, healing, longing, laughter, heartbreak, resilience, and the quiet miracles of being alive through it all.

Before It Snows releases 29th May 2026.
